IN-PERSON TRAINING

Beauty Company
Essentials

Beauty Company Essentials is a training course that everyone planning to start a business in the beauty industry – be it a cosmetologist, beautician, or doctor – should undertake. In everyday practice, we often encounter numerous mistakes in the operation of salons and clinics that could be avoided if owners had the knowledge typically gained over years of learning from mistakes – often in costly and time-consuming ways.
You will benefit the most if you take this training before registering your company, as it addresses numerous aspects of business organization and preparation. However, it’s never too late to make changes, and even if you have been running a beauty business for a while but still don’t feel confident and things aren’t going as they should, you will gain invaluable benefits from this training.

The entire knowledge included in the Beauty Company Essentials program is the quintessence of years of accumulated knowledge, practical experience, and a summary of market realities. This makes the training a “shortcut,” providing ready-made solutions in areas such as registering a beauty business that meets all requirements, hiring employees, setting up a workspace, and fully preparing for client service.

The course consists of lectures, workshops, and a discussion segment where participants can ask their own questions and delve deeper into topics of particular interest to them.

Before opening a salon, aesthetic medicine clinic, or SPA, as well as while operating the business, it is essential to conduct a series of analyses to ensure profitability. On the first day, we will examine various business models, and you will choose the one that best fits your business. You will also learn how to assess the profitability of your venture and make initial business decisions, as well as outline development plans in the form of a business plan. Additionally, you will discover how to analyze the competition and what insights it can bring to your business. The basics of branding will also be discussed.

  1. What is a business plan and why is it necessary?
  2. Porter’s analysis – developing strengths and weaknesses as a starting point
  3. Investment calculation and estimating return on investment
  4. Pricing calculation and setting service and product prices
  5. Specialization or general offering – analyzing the pros and cons of both solutions
  6. Competition analysis
  7. Branding and logo
  8. How to choose a company name?
  9. Registering the company name with the Patent Office

The second day is entirely dedicated to the legal aspects of running a business in the beauty industry. All regulations and requirements for beauticians, cosmetologists, doctors, healthcare facilities, and mixed businesses will be discussed. A strong emphasis will be placed on the practical interpretation of regulations and effective communication with all regulatory bodies. The procedures to follow in case of violations or the imposition of administrative penalties on the business will also be addressed.

  1. Registration with BDO and requirements for managing packaging and waste
  2. Discussion of documentation procedures, treatment consents, and regulations
  3. GDPR and storage of documentation, including medical records
  4. Registration of a medical facility – yes or no?
  5. Required documentation for clients depending on the type of business
  6. Client versus patient
  7. Time and method of storing various types of documentation
  8. Which form of business to choose – sole proprietorship or limited liability company?
  9. What type of insurance to choose for the business?
  10. What tax form works for beauty businesses and what are the VAT rates?

  12. When is it worth collaborating with a cleaning company?
  13. Legal music playback in the establishment
  14. Official inspections – the scope of officials’ powers and entrepreneurs’ obligations

On the third day, we will thoroughly discuss what is likely the most enjoyable part of starting a business: its physical setup. It’s not advisable to leave the arrangement to chance, fleeting trends, or simply choose decor based solely on personal aesthetic preferences. A business is primarily a source of income and a workplace, which should meet specific legal requirements, be functional, and fit the nature of the activities being conducted. We will also consider the aspects of listing the business on major online platforms.

  1. Sanitary and epidemiological requirements, as well as fire and building safety standards
  2. Choosing the right premises for your business
  3. Entering into a favorable lease agreement
  4. Pitfalls during the renovation of the premises
  5. Functional layout of the premises
  6. Basic equipment for the premises – what to pay attention to?
  7. What can you save on, and what is worth investing in when setting up the premises?
  8. Convenient organization of the reception area, waiting room, changing room, parking, etc.
  9. Music and scent tailored to the character of the premises
  10. Lighting adapted to the character of the premises
  11. What to consider when collaborating with an interior designer?
  12. Creating online profiles – Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Business Cards
  13. Discussion of website functions and structure, Google Analytics
  14. Overview of online calendars such as Booksy and Znany Lekarz

On the fourth day, the training is divided into two parts, both focusing on working with people. In the first half of the day, the process of hiring employees and forming contracts will be covered, along with strategies for managing difficult situations between supervisors and subordinates. You will also learn about the legal regulations concerning client service, such as properly handling the complaints process and implementing deposits for service reservations. Additionally, you’ll gain insights into working with wholesalers and representatives of supply companies.

  1. Creating job descriptions and workplace regulations
  2. Loyalty agreements with employees
  3. Choosing the form of employment for employees
  4. Conducting job interviews with employees
  5. Constructing job advertisements
  6. Motivational systems for employees
  7. Evaluating employee profitability
  8. Difficult situations with employees
  9. Creating internal regulations
